As a leading partner, English Nature has employed a Project Officer to oversee the project.

The Way Forward
The development of a sustainable management policy for the heathland is a vital aspect for this project. Although the project will make a significant contribution to national and international targets for heathland conservation – as recognised in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan – its principal aim is to help local communities experience their Coversands heathland.

It is hoped that Tommorrow’s Heathland Heritage will secure the long-term future of this unique and beautiful area.
